What you will learn
In this unit you will learn how to embed a video clip from a streaming site. The code I demonstrate is from CSS-Tricks. I will demonstrate the process using a video from YouTube, Vimeo and BlipTV. This is made possible through the use of jquery. In addition, I will demonstrate my account on Blip.tv. I selected Blip.tv as the streaming provider for Spartan Design Unversity

In this series I will demonstrate a problem with fixed video that we run into with most sites that have video content. I will then demonstrate a complex jquery file that dynamically scales a video for multiple device widths.
In part 1 of this tutorial we drop in 4 video from various vendors and see how they do NOT respond to the browser width. Then I add some CSS to show the scalable areas. Finally I drop in a jquery script and explain it in detail. Finally I show you how awsome this script is.
While Youtube dominates the streaming video market it is not necessarly the best service to use for all streaming needs. I wanted a little more control over the look and feel of my videos and control over advertising. After doing some research, I choose Blip.tv for my instructional tutorials. This is an overview of my account.
